We are gonna go on a small group field trip this week. How does dinner at the The Fruit Jar Cafe in Cartersville sound. If you are up for it, we will meet there at 6:30 p.m. It is good southern cooking. Here are the details:

How's It Going?

Hi everyone! No group tonight.... it is finally time for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding tomorrow. Are we happy? Sad? Scared? Nervous? Excited?

YES!

And we will miss being with you all, but we are planning to be back on next week!

The Future....

Our group last week was great...and interesting again. For those who couldn't come, we talked a lot about repentance and what that is and what that isn't.

We will not have our group this Friday or next Friday due to the wedding rehearsal that night. Can you believe it. The wedding is almost here. Oh my!

Have a fantastic couple of weeks, and as you wander through your journey, watch and listen for God. He is always present and amazing!

It was a fantastic group last Friday!

Our Friday gathering last week at the Peel's house was filled with great friends and great conversations. We were glad to have Roxanne and the girls back. We have missed you guys and are STILL missing Mark. Can we shovel a little guilt out to Mark :).

Herb keeps testing his Sunday topics out on us and it is always interesting to see how it warps into what the Sunday message becomes. We have a great part in molding and shaping (through the Holy Spirit in us) what comes out on Sunday. Don't miss it this week. The plan is to have it at the Sims' this week. 7:00 p.m.

It's Amanda's Birthday!

To help celebrate her birthday, Amanda has invited us to have the Friday Gathering at her apartment in Canton on Friday..... 7:00 p.m as usual. Bring some finger foods, etc. We will be emailing directions to the regular attenders, but if you would like to join us, send an email to

O.k..........You will get another week!

For all of those who have not finished the book The Shack you will get another week. Because it is The Ride's retreat weekend, we will not have small group this week, but will instead put the retreat and all of those from our group who are going on our prayer list. We plan to be back in business next Friday as usual.

And don't forget it is Round Table Sunday this Sunday.....BBQ ribs will be there, bring a side dish and a friend!

Have You Read It Yet?

Many of us have finished The Shack but for those who haven't, we have tortured them by starting a conversation, and then cutting it short so we don't give anything a way. If you are still reading it, here's a tip.....mark the sections that make you go "wow" or "huh??" or whatever. You will be glad you did. There will probably be quite a few of them.

The Friday gathering will meet this Friday at the Cary's house. 7:00 P.m. Kathi is a glutton for punishment. She is hosting our group and the "dinner and a movie" on Saturday. Thanks Kathi!

It was a great group last Friday!

It was a great group and great food last Friday at the Cary's. We had a fine time of catching up on each other's holidays and family things, we met the Cary's two (yes, TWO) new dogs that they adopted and had a great converstion tuning Herb up for his Sunday message on the purpose of our "voice". We also spent some time with a preview or "tease" about the book THE SHACK for those that haven't started it yet.

The plan for this week is for Friday, this time at the Sims. Hope you can all make it.....we have almost gotten the Christmas stuff down and now there is a little more room for everybody.

Next meeting this Friday January 4th

Hi everyone. We hope everyone's Christmas and New year's has been outstanding! We are back on the Friday night plan starting this Friday at the Cary's house. I am only guessing, but I think the book "The Shack" might be a topic of conversation. Or Herb's newest series on our different "voices" or anything else that might have tweaked you interest.
